TahoePass

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

TahoePass ("we", "us", or "our") provides applications and services that help Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID) pass holders manage their passes, punch cards, and household members' passes, and stay informed about community messages and events (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we store and protect it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

This policy is effective as of July 19, 2026, and applies to the TahoePass web applications at tahoepass.app and user.tahoepass.app and to the TahoePass iOS application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the Service. This includes:

  • Account information. Your email address, name, and other profile information you choose to provide when you create and maintain your account.
  • Pass details. Information about the passes and punch cards you add, including pass type, label, expiration, punch balances, and the pass barcode or identifier captured when you scan or enter a physical pass.
  • Photos. Photos of passes you scan and, where applicable, photos of pass holders associated with picture passes.
  • Household member information. Names and pass details for dependents and other household members that the account holder adds to their account in order to manage their passes.
  • Usage and access records. Records generated when a pass is scanned or verified, such as the time, location facility, and outcome of the scan, along with basic technical information needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including displaying your passes and punch cards and keeping their status up to date;
  • Verify passes when they are scanned or presented at IVGID venues and facilities;
  • Deliver community messages and event listings published for pass holders, including features such as favorites;
  • Communicate with you about your account, such as sign-in links, one-time codes, and important service notices; and
  • Protect the security and integrity of the Service.

3. How We Store Your Information

Your account data and pass information are stored using Supabase and related cloud infrastructure. Images — including photos of passes and pass holders — are stored in cloud storage. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is restricted to what is required to operate the Service.

4. What We Do NOT Do

  • We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
  • We do not share your information with third parties for advertising, and the Service contains no third-party advertising.

We share information only with the service providers that host our infrastructure (such as Supabase and our cloud hosting providers) strictly to operate the Service, and with IVGID as needed for pass verification and administration.

5. Children's Data

TahoePass accounts are created and held by adults. Passes for children and other dependents are added and managed by the parent or guardian who holds the account. We collect only the information the account holder provides about household members (such as name and pass details), and that information is used solely to display and verify those passes. Children do not create their own TahoePass accounts. If you believe information about a child has been provided to us outside of this model, please contact us at info@tahoepass.app and we will address it promptly.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you would like your account and associated personal data deleted, contact us at info@tahoepass.app and we will delete your data, subject to any records we are required to keep for legal, security, or administrative purposes.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS) for data in transit, authenticated access to the Service, restricted access to production systems, and cloud infrastructure providers with established security programs. No system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly to any issue.

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in TahoePass, please report it to security@tahoepass.app. We welcome responsible disclosure and will respond as quickly as we can.

8. Your Rights

You may at any time:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate information, either directly in the app or by contacting us; and
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@tahoepass.app.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice within the Service.
